Statuesque Mbugu Figure
The majority of the Mbugu people of Tanzania are found in the Lushoto district in the Tanga region. Mbugu figures are characterized as human statuaries with monumental legs and feet. This piece is statuesque, with massive feet, narrow shoulders and a relatively diminutive head.
