Kuba Dengese ritual anthropomorphic pestle used in the preparation of ritual substances. Collected in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (then Zaire) between 1970 and 1972 by U.S. Ambassador Robert Keating, at the time a USAID economic development attaché.
