Curvaceous Mossi Doll

An unpublished doll from the estate collection of Thomas G. B. Wheelock. A classic Kaya region doll from Northwest Burkina Faso. The projecting head and the continuous S-curve from the face over the crest and down the back is a hallmark of the Kaya style. Quarter-spherical ears with the flat side facing forward are another Kaya signature.
