Baule Ground-Hornbill Heddle Pulley
Baule heddle pulley carved in the form of an Abyssinian ground-hornbill. Called calao in French, hornbills are particularly attractive to humans for their propensity to form monogamous pairs, the involvement of both males and females in the caring for young, and the fact that the hornbill’s spring migration heralds the harvest season.
