Neolithic Stone Bracelet II
Stone bracelets of various diameters, thicknesses and densities have been found at sites known to Tuareg inhabitants of Niger’s Sahara for centuries. It was only in relatively recent times that they discovered there was a market for them. This particular example is from the estate collection of Joseph Knopfelmacher. It has not been determined whether this bracelet was made to be worn as an adornment or was used in some kind of ritual or rite. Mounted on a custom base. $425
