Urhobo Dance Crest
Impressive sculpture with multiple figures and animals. On the first side, a clothed figure stands atop the head of a forest buffalo. On the other side, an unclothed female figure stands atop a forest buffalo, also gripping its horns. Between these two figures, a clothed figure sits astride what appears to be a male cat. Beneath the cat are two male figures unclothed but sporting conical headdresses. Sprouting from the base of the crest, within the negative space encircled by the figures, stands a post encircled by a snake. A large tin bucket has been employed to replace the eroded substructure.
